Reused passwords in breach dumps

The single most common way both companies and families get compromised: one password, reused, already public.

How it works

  1. 01A site you used years ago is breached and its password list is traded.
  2. 02Attackers replay the same email and password against hundreds of services automatically.
  3. 03One hit on a mailbox unlocks password resets everywhere else.

How to spot it

  • Assume any password you have used twice is already known.
  • Prioritise rotating email, banking, and password-manager credentials first.
  • Passkeys remove the problem entirely where they're supported.

How the fleet stops it

Argus

Argus continuously sweeps breach and dark-web sources for your domains, emails, and family accounts, then works with Cerberus to find every place the exposed password is still in use — and queues the rotation for your sign-off.
